Time to Shine: Empowering Recent Graduates to Make Bold Moves in Their Early Careers

This is that type of moment: now you go out into the world, stepping outside your colleges and universities, filled with so much excitement and yet so much uncertainty. You have worked so hard to get to this point, but the real challenge is the moment when you are standing on the edge of the unknown, trying to figure out where to go next. Many feel that there is pressure to have it all figured out, to hit that "perfect" job right off the bat. But this is your time to shine-your time to be bold and trust that your path will unfold as you take each courageous step forward.

I still remember very well how overwhelming that all felt when I was in your shoes.

Coming right out of university, it was scary to find myself in an industry that at times felt intimidating, and a few times I doubted whether I was ready. There were moments of doubt, but I just knew that if I didn't take those steps that scared me-saying something when I had an idea, applying for the job because it would scare me-then I would never grow. Each step helped me build confidence and opened doors I didn't know existed. Of course, I am far more grateful for those moments of courage, however slight they seemed at the time, for they have led me to where I am.

If you're a recent graduate, this is your time. Take risks. Be fearless. Believe in yourself, even when nobody else does. And it's okay if you don't know-what matters is that you keep moving. I'd love to hear about your experiences-what bold moves are you thinking of? If you can, please let me know your story, and let's raise each other up during this really fun time of growth and new discovery.

You got this!
